The three founding members of the group, Ishtara Veen, Ben Tolson and Richard Tabor came
together through Somerset-based performance workshop group INKlings. Within that group,
under the auspices of Fares Moussa and George Oliver, they performed three voice poems by
Tabor.

In 2025 Moussa commissioned Tabor to write a 15 minute piece in a similar format for an
installation at the annual conference of the Theoretical Archaeology Group in York. This
led to the group's first publicly presented recording.

In June 2026 they made their debut live performance in Glastonbury, alternating pieces with
singer/songwriter Sarah Curtis.

The group aims to recruit new vocalists and to encourage new members to write their own
multivocal works with a view to rehearsal and performance.
